Lina Ferreira de Castro is a researcher and policy analyst working on sustainable finance and international development in emerging economies. She is currently pursuing a Joint Master’s in International Policy Analysis and Development Studies between PUC-Rio and the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID).

She is currently a Fellow at the OAK Foundation’s Global Climate Initiative, working on grants related to just energy transition, food systems, and forest and coastal communities. In 2025, she contributed as a researcher to ILAM and IDRC’s study on interregional cooperation in sustainable finance between Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, analysing key actors’ engagement in international policy spaces to inform the development of a Policy Convergence Map. She has also worked on climate finance access for the Brazilian private sector, commissioned by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), and contributed to a study for the Nature Investment Lab and the Brazil Restoration & Bioeconomy Finance Coalition, supporting the development of an investment portfolio of high-impact organisations across the Amazon and Cerrado, designed to guide investors toward community-based bioeconomy initiatives.
